Game Description & Reviews:
Shinrai1 rates this game: 3/5Bottom of the 9th for Sony Playstation is a sports game developed and published by Konami. It was released in North America for PSX on April 4th, 1996 and in Japan on October 25th, 1996. Later ports were created for Nintendo 64 and Sega Saturn.
Bottom of the 9th is a licensed MLB baseball game that features actual players and locations from the MLB. The game features multiple game modes such as Season, Exhibition and Playoff mode.
The game features a more simulated style of play unlike many of the faster paced arcade baseball games of the time using real baseball rule-sets. This game also features a high degree of customization. You are able to customize any of the teams and choose any player in the game to create your own fantasy teams.
If you prefer an accessible easy to pick up and play baseball game this game may not be for you. The realistic control scheme and higher difficulty of the game makes this a hard game for casual gamers to grasp quickly.
